Neighbors were "processing" chickens. I'm using salt to dehydrate them. I'll post picks when the mummification sets in.

I bought some buckles from Simon. Got some belts and dye from someone named Andy..no...TANDY!
Got a frock coat for a steal at $88 off ebay. says funcostumes.com on the label.

I'll be picking up my real waistcoat from mum this weekend.

...still working on replacing those rasta dreads...hard work, that.

oh, and I picked up some fine leather for my baldric from a fabric shop...they called it something fancy...pleather? sounds exotic!

I love it when a plan comes together....

1. finish those belts

2. Dirty everything up

3. study pictures of Jack and see how his clothes "lay" on his body and then have someone compare you against the picture

and then wam bam.... you're Captain Jack Saprrow savvy?

Yo Ho

Looking good so far
You make a good Jack Sparrow, you look a lot like him. Also awesome find on eBay. I've never seen anyone sell the Funcostumes set on eBay for only $88 haha

I've ordered and patiently await a blade...and a pistol

I've done glued up my boots this evening...so, I have aspirations of posting completed buckets tomorrow.

I haven't had much time for hair...but my wife has! she's got 4 great dreads made...what's that? like 26+ to go?

In the meanwhile, I took a picture of myself in the bathroom

mirror...bathroom mirror...

I think if I made a few more pairs I could get pretty good at this...but cobbling shoes is for cobblers!

Here's a picture. I still have to trim the bell. I left it long. I'll get some better shots at a later date

My sword is famous all over the Caribbean...too bad no one has ever heard of me...

Look what I came home to..

But that sheath is unsuitably representative of my ill-repute...so....

much improved...(still much improving left to do, have to turn the seam up by the hilt)
The pommel is wrong. that should be easy enough to fix, only they glued it on. It's soaking in acetone.
the grip isn't quite right...to be fixed when the pommel comes off.
and finally, it's stainless steel. As luck would have it, I have a bit of ferric chloride left from another project...not sure if I can rub that on and leave it or if it would need a full bath.

shot of the bell as well...
